Also known as Grandpa Su or Old Man Su, the patriarch of the Su Family. He smokes a tobacco pipe and is deeply worried about the family's food supply. He organized the family to shovel snow and planned to go with the eldest son to break ice at the river. Grandma Su forbade him from smoking in the room where Su Jiu sleeps, fearing the smoke would irritate her granddaughter.
