Female protagonist, originally a general in the PLA of the interstellar era who detonated a nuclear bomb during a combat mission and died. She crossed over into the body of another Su Linlang in 1980s Earth. The original Su Linlang was a beautiful but slow-witted girl from a state-run farm in the mainland, whose father was a disabled veteran. After soul integration, she gained clear thinking abilities, could speak Cantonese fluently, and decided to rescue her kidnapped husband He Puting rather than flee with money as in the original story.
