Song Qi's elder brother. Both passed the imperial examinations during the Tiansheng era. Initially ranked third while Song Qi was first, but Empress Dowager Zhangxian Liu E changed the rankings making Song Xiang the top Zhuangyuan and demoting Song Qi to tenth place.
