Also called Xiao Luo, the eldest grandson of the Song family. Nearly seventeen years old but appears only about fifteen due to long-term malnutrition and frailty. He is responsible and deeply cares for his grandparents and younger siblings. He was told he must be sent to the countryside but protested emotionally, not wanting to leave his family behind. He kowtowed to Qiao Jiuru and Su Huaiyuan in gratitude.
