Shuten Dōji is a legendary Japanese oni and one of the four tenno. In this chapter, he is mentioned as an alternative Heroic Spirit that Nanaya considered summoning to fight Ibaraki Dōji. However, Nanaya decided against using Shuten Dōji because of his close connection to Ibaraki Dōji, which would be risky even with system corrections. Additionally, Shuten Dōji's clothing is described as far too revealing, and Nanaya swore he would never wear such clothing even in a male version. Nanaya also notes that using a man-eating Shuten Dōji would destroy the goodwill he had built up as Sakamoto Ryōma. Shuten Dōji is male and is mentioned but not summoned in this chapter.
