Yun Yan's mother, one of three sisters raised by their grandmother in Ronghua Lane. Widowed, she is skilled at both cooking and sewing. She suffers from an epiglottic cyst that causes breathing difficulties and was destined to die from suffocation in her sleep six months later. Initially tense with Yun Yan but eventually reconciles. She is reluctant to take time off from cotton field work due to short-handed team.
