Also referred to as Master Shu, the father of Shu Liu (Su Yan). He is ill but his health has been improving since meeting Shen Nian. He believes Shen Nian may be the lucky girl predicted by Situ Chen, whose fortune is tied to the fate of Huayue. He had previously searched for the lucky girl but gave up when he couldn't find her.
