A nine-year-old girl, the sole surviving daughter of the late Captain Shen Zhonglin. After her father and brother were killed by Turkic soldiers, she lives in mourning at the Shen residence in Su Prefecture. She is described as slender, with clear bright black eyes and a still-childish face. Despite her young age and fragile appearance, she shows remarkable resilience and determination, refusing to go to Qin Prefecture with her greedy uncle Shen Fu'an. She overheard Shen Fu'an's plot with Steward Zhou through her wet nurse's help. She is nervous and awed when facing the Duke of Jin, a first-rank noble, but finds a glimmer of hope when the Duke arrives. Her wet nurse has been her closest confidante and protector.
