The village head of Da Shen Village, naturally surnamed Shen, and a relative of Shen Niannian. He initially wanted to refuse borrowing the bike but his wife accepted Shen Niannian's meat in exchange for cooking. He is principled and refused to let the Shen family take the gifts brought by Shen Niannian, insisting they decide what happens with them.
