Imperial Tutor and Grand Secretary of the Grand Secretariat, also the father of Consort Liang (Shen Yu Yao). He served as a Lecturer at the Hanlin Academy in his youth and was appointed tutor to Xie Chen when he was still a Huangzi. He became the leader of the pure-stream officials after Xie Chen ascended the throne. He maintains a close relationship with the Emperor, who still addresses him as Teacher. He is currently unaware that his daughter Liang Fei is under house arrest.
