Female, Shen Hu's shrewish wife who scolded and cried when their son Ah-Li fell ill. She wanted Shen Hu to take Ah-Li to the county town for a physician but was prevented by wheat planting duties. She fainted dead away upon seeing Ah-Li passing blood, vomiting, and suffering convulsions with his eyes rolling back.
