Also referred to as Chen Huaizhang. An old friend of Ming Yunzhi from Yizhou. He is a Jinshi graduate from the 22nd year of the Pingxuan era and currently serves as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Works. He is tall (about eight feet), handsome, and has an unrestrained, bold personality. He and Ming Yunzhi shared a close childhood friendship where she called him a mud monkey.
