One of two men who observed the ceremony from the eastern courtyard wall. He is poorly read and repeatedly describes the event as madness. He jokes about Confucius strangling people in dreams and finds the nickname Two-Dou Xie Lang hilarious, not realizing it refers to his own rank. He wants to report the events to the prince and is easily amused by absurdity.
