She is compassionate, understanding, and respects others' choices including their pain and darkness. She deliberately avoids touching those who need their pain, like Toji and the grieving believer Liangshu, because she believes people need more than just happiness. She performs good deeds nightly, helping believers and purifying areas of cursed spirits.
