Also referred to as 'the aunt', she is the arrogant and haughty mother of Ruan Xiaomei. She is greedy and has used guilt and retribution to control Ruan Xiaotang's family for over ten years, claiming that Ruan Xiaotang owes her life because Ruan Xiaomei saved her from drowning. She confronts Ruan Xiaotang and Liu Guifang, accusing them of shamelessness, but is slapped and threatened with a hatchet by Ruan Xiaotang. She flees in fear after being intimidated.
