The fourth young lady of the Ruan family from Feizhi Pavilion. She played the zither exceptionally well and was once described as pure as jade and snow. She was originally registered as born of the first wife but her status was switched to concubine-born. She was mocked by Song Sangyu and Ruan Jiawen at the poetry gathering for wearing Yanmiao silk gauze and being illegitimate-born.
