An elderly minister who boldly pushed the Emperor to adopt a child from the imperial clan as heir. He had accepted a bribe (silver) from someone and tried to rally other ministers to support him, but they abandoned him in the court. He was terrified when the Emperor turned his wrath upon him and was shocked when the Emperor demanded his fertile wife (who had borne four children) enter the palace. He genuinely loved his wife and was caught in an impossible situation.
