Male protagonist, father of Yunhao and Xinyue, was exiled with iron shackles but later had them replaced with hemp rope. He successfully severed ties with the Shen family with the help of Captain Wu. He is caring towards his children, picking up Yunhao when tired and teaching him to value growing tall. He and his wife Lu Yao form their own little world away from the Shen family drama.
