Father of the second branch of the Ren family. He and his wife had been taking care of Ren Zhonghan's daughters in exchange for benefits provided by the main branch. He was spoiled his youngest son Ren Yilin blind. When the Ren sisters were burned to death, it was Ren Yilin who set the fire. He tried to blame the main branch for the prison break and was killed by Ren Jingshu with a blade to the chest. His body was thrown onto Ren Yilin before the prison fire consumed them both.
