Male, also referred to as Brigade Commander Wei, in his fifties, of average height, lean build, and tanned complexion. He speaks in a booming voice but carries no airs and might be mistaken for an ordinary old farmer. He is amiable and approachable according to Hu Xiu's account. He took both Huo Xiao and Cao Wenze fishing in the back hills, possibly to play matchmaker for Liu Wenyan.
