Qumu is a middle-aged Tibetan woman, also referred to by the respectful title Mola. She lives alone in a pasture after losing her husband and son in the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. Despite her tragedy, she is hardworking, optimistic, and welcomes guests with warm hospitality, offering butter tea and milk curds. She milks cows and sings softly while working, embodying resilience and grace.
