The current Empress Dowager and niece of the Grand Empress Dowager. She was made Empress by the late Emperor as a political sacrifice to maintain Qing-Mongolia relations with the Khorchin clan. She fell out of favor immediately upon becoming Empress and has remained a virgin throughout her marriage. Once bright and lively, she has become numb and gloomy. The Grand Empress Dowager promises to arrange for her to have a child to give her hope.
