Sect leader of Xuan Yu Zong, referred to as Senior Brother by Su Yu. He gently taught Su Yu that 'the Dao heart is the true heart.' During the demonic path siege, he makes his last stand in the forbidden area of the rear mountain with only ten wounded disciples. He uses the Invocation of Divine Spirits, a secret technique that burns his life force to summon ancestral spirits, knowing it will kill him. His last words to Su Yu through the water mirror are 'Run.' He dies heroically, his body scattering into specks of light.
