Head of the Qin family. His second son Qin Buyan lay near death in a private hospital, and a fortune-teller told him his son's fate required a daughter to survive. He found the fallen Ningbao, recognized the protective jade around her neck as the same one his son Buyan wore as a child, and rushed her to the hospital. He has four children: an eldest son who disappeared at sea, Qin Buyan, Qin Hanzhu, and Qin Mo. He is stern but deeply emotional over Ningbao's condition.
