Minister of Justice of the Northern Dynasty, imprisoned in the imperial prison. He is described as having swollen eyes and lying in a filthy cell among tangled weeds. He has two sons, Qin Xiao and Qin Shi. He is charged with showing grave disrespect to His Majesty by forcing his way into the inner palace. He pleads with Cheng Yun not to implicate his family, especially his son Qin Xiao who has not yet entered official service.
