The antagonist, Bai Yalan's husband of ten years, a company commander in the military. He never loved Bai Yalan and had been unfaithful with Lu Qing'er throughout their marriage. He orchestrated Bai Yalan's company bankruptcy, allowed Lu Qing'er to take credit for her business success, and abandoned her when she was dying of cancer so he could marry Lu Qing'er. He was promoted to company commander and applied for military housing. He is manipulative, selfish, and cruel, blaming Bai Yalan for everything while celebrating her death.
