Qiao Jiacheng is a 17-year-old cousin in the Qiao family, the eldest son of Qiao Youfu. He is described as the most calculating of Qiao Youfu's sons but also generous. He is an apprentice at a cloth shop and has a long commute. He is food-loving and enthusiastic, licking his lips just thinking about the lavish meal. He is somewhat naive and does not catch his father's hints about him staying home to save expenses. He invites Qiao Mianmian to visit his house and pick persimmons, asking her to help his mother cook in return. He is close to his mother Qiao Manyu and brings meat she saved for them.
