Male character, a live-in son-in-law who married into the Zhao family. He was originally from the same village as Li Hongxia and they were tragic lovers in their youth. After a flood separated them, he was rescued and adopted, eventually marrying Zhao Suzhen. Zhao Qimao is not his biological son. He harbored resentment toward the Zhao family for treating him like a fool and bided his time. He later tried to help save Chen Baozhu and Zhao Qimao.
