Also known as Old Qi, an eccentric and talkative old man of apparently high status who meets Mingxi during her journey. He is open-minded, approachable, and does not put on airs. He helps Mingxi with her travel and divorce arrangements, introduces her to Lin Jianguo's superior, and enthusiastically offers to find her a new husband. A young man repeatedly tries to call him back, suggesting he holds an important position.
