Qi Yanheng is the first male lead, Cen Zhi'ning's childhood sweetheart who lived under the same roof. He is described as a gloomy, damp, ghost-like man crawling in the shadows. Cen Zhi'ning lowered his gloominess to normal levels before finding an excuse to study abroad. He is not currently present in the story but is mentioned as already conquered.
