The nominal grandmother of Zhao Yan and mother of the Tianyou Emperor. She was originally a peace-marriage princess sent by the previous dynasty to the Western Tribes. She single-handedly raised the Tianyou Emperor and taught him Central Plains Han culture from childhood. She endured exclusion and hardships in the Western Tribes, and her memorial tablet was personally enshrined in the imperial ancestral temple by her son after he ascended the throne.
