The son of Xue Huiyu and Pei Wenyu, approximately three and a half years old at the time of the story. He appears pale, thin, and hunched with lifeless dim eyes. He chews his fingernails ragged and has episodes of screaming and head-banging triggered by loud sounds like sirens, suggesting autism or a similar condition. He was being abused by the nanny Zheng Huiwen who sedated him with injections. Remarkably, he seemed to briefly see his ghostly mother.
