Also called Lotus Jie'er or Lotus girl, the eldest granddaughter of the Pei household and Pei Shaohuai's half-sister. She is the daughter of the late Madam Ning, born in June which is why she was named after lotus. She lost her mother early and has always been sensible, never complaining even when burdened with hardship. Her marriage has not yet been arranged, which concerns Grandmother Pei.
