Male minor character. An orphan adopted by Old Pei at the village entrance. He became the eighth and final student at Pei Changfeng's school. His clothes are tattered and roughly stitched by himself. He is diligent, clever, and hungry. He wants to become a teacher so he can eat white rice every day.
