Male supporting character, also called Uncle Pei. A fifty-something bricklayer who usually waits for work under the bridge outside Heping Village. He has a wide network of manual laborers. He is crude in speech but well-meaning. He agreed to help Fu Jingchuan build a private toilet and shower, and accepted a deposit to find the right workers.
