The founder and leader of the Pei Army, a clandestine organization of assassins. Initially refused Emperor Xiaoyuan's request to help seize the throne, but was manipulated through rumors spread among his men. He negotiated terms to ensure his men's survival. After the dynasty was established, he was ordered to guard the southern border with his female relatives held as hostages by Emperor Xiaoyuan. The Pei Family valued loyalty and righteousness above all else.
