Ophelia is a female goddess worshipped in Animal Town. She possesses boundless magical power, and legend holds that her tears can purify all defilement and stimulate the rapid growth of plants. She initially refused to help the townspeople, regarding them as bothersome insects. In retaliation, the townspeople murdered her child by severing its head, causing her blood to soak the earth and make fruit trees sprout. Enraged, Ophelia unleashed a terrible curse upon the town, causing children to transform into grotesque animals and contract a plague. The food nourished by her tears also cursed the townspeople with eternal life, trapping them in the town. She cannot find her child's remains and refuses to leave, unleashing a brutal massacre every six months and requiring fresh victims as replacements.
