Old Madam Ge is the bedridden mother-in-law in the Wu family. Wu Erlang and his wife never visit her. When Old Master Wu dies outside her room, she hears the commotion and tries to drag herself off the bed to help, but falls headfirst to the ground and suffocates to death on the spot. Her death is the second funeral in the Wu family within one month.
