Nie Chubai's biological mother. A famous courtesan on the Qinhuai River boats, renowned throughout the land by age sixteen. She was deceived in both heart and mind by Marquis Pingyuan and bore him a son, Nie Chubai. When Nie Chubai was eight, she took him to the Marquis manor to claim kinship but they were driven out. She was severely beaten and passed away within days.
