The ruler of the Underworld who disguised himself to wander the mortal world. He met and courted You Jiang, promising to spoil him alone, but maintained a large harem of men, women, demons, and ghosts. He imprisoned You Jiang in the Cold Palace after an argument and allowed the Empress to frame him for execution. Later dealt with the Empress's powerful family and cleaned out faction-sent consorts before begging You Jiang to return, promising him the position of Queen of the Underworld.
