Also known as Emperor Huiwen, the Son of Heaven and father of the Seventh Prince. Upon hearing of his son's condition, he was deeply distressed and guilty, weeping and lamenting that his seventh son fell victim to unfilial sons' schemes and that he failed Consort Jing. He harbored uncontrollable rage and waited for the right moment to strike against those in the rear palace. He ordered the execution of Song Furen and the extermination of the Song family's nine clans after discovering an account book revealing their crimes.
