The Emperor of Beiyuan and the primary antagonist. Originally an unfavored prince of Beiyuan, he slaughtered all his siblings to ascend the throne and is known for his tyrannical nature. He first saw Xiao Changning perform on a Painted Pleasure Boat in Jiangling, where her performance of Longing for My Lord utterly conquered him. Since ascending the throne, he has collected many beauties resembling her but has never touched any of them. He is using the marriage alliance as a political tool to capture her.
