Murakami is a jujutsu sorcerer from the Supervisory Department, dressed similarly to other sorcerers. He is furious when Lin Ge calls him and his colleagues trash. He threatens to take Lin Ge before the elders, who can decide a sorcerer's fate with a circle or cross. He represents the bureaucratic and authoritarian aspects of the jujutsu world. He is a minor antagonist in this scene.
