Mu Yin Feng was a legendary general known as Mu Lao General who led troops against the Tianyu forces in Beimo. He was the father of Mu Wan and husband of Madam Mu. Though usually stern, he was amused by his daughter's interest in military training and taught her spear techniques. He eventually allowed Mu Wan to join him at the military camp, where she disguised herself as a boy. After his wife's concerns about his daughter's gender disguise, he returned to the capital with his family. His final act for Tianyu was receiving Gu Qingxing's letter and riding to the capital to help Jun Heng ascend, but he died from an old injury before reaching Linyang. He had promised his wife he would stay with her in life and death but broke that promise to serve his country.
