Also known as Prefect Mu or Zhizhou Mu, the newly appointed Zhizhou of Liuzhou. He is the second son of the Mu family. His father was a Grand Scholar who served as Grand Tutor for two dynasties. Mu Maoshi is prematurely bald and appears as a diligent, hardworking County Magistrate. He previously served as County Magistrate of Liujiang County in Liuzhou. He possesses sharp political acumen but is by nature honest and straightforward. He was torn between reporting Rui Wangye's ambitions or condoning them since they benefited the populace. Rui Wangye sent him a letter suggesting he become the new Zhizhou, which greatly pleased him.
