His family practiced medicine for generations and their ancestors worked in the imperial pharmacy. He had a disciple who betrayed him in the past, which is why he was reluctant to take on students. After eating special grain from Xu, his family gained energy and his son's pulse strengthened. He agrees to teach Xu TCM as his closed-door disciple.
