Also referred to as an ape demon, this is a male demon who had been disguising himself as Master Lu's beloved concubine. He came down the mountain because his family of sixteen was starving after mountain creatures died mysteriously and trees stopped bearing fruit over the past year. He only eats fruits and vegetables, particularly bananas, and has never consumed human or animal meat. He can transform into human form but reverts to his true form when injured. His true form has deep brown fur and lacks a tail, distinguishing him from monkeys.
