Hong Ling's mother and archrival of Ma Cuilan. She manages kitchen purchases alongside Ma Cuilan under the Duchess's balancing strategy. She is bitter and jealous that her daughter Hong Ling is always overshadowed by Yun Shu. She openly attacks Yun Shu with sarcasm upon seeing her happy after serving the Heir Apparent.
