The daughter of Chen Rou, born during the story. Named by Wang Cuilian as the precious pearl of the Meng family. She is the kind-hearted heroine of the novel within the novel. In the original story, she discovers the secret realm inside Meng Yu's jade pendant and uses it to help those close to her survive the famine.
