Meng Yufei's father and Xia Qinqin's grandfather. He studied economics at Fudan University during the Republic of China era. After graduating, he worked at Haishi's Bank before being recruited by the Communist Party as an undercover operative, secretly providing intelligence during the war. After liberation, he continued working at the People's Bank of China in Haishi. The family lives in a building that was designated as staff quarters for the bank.
